JOHN, a Programme and Project Leader with extensive international NGO management experience. He is MBA and MA qualified as well as Prince 2 and PMD Pro and Program DPro certified. John helped author the PMD Pro Guide and led the creation of the Program DPro certification. He is the Co-Founder of Pyramid Learning, an organisation that is passionate about helping those who do good work, do it better.
He led Humentum’s programme management work capacity building work for nine years and before that held various roles in Oxfam GB and The British Council. He has worked in over 40 countries, is fluent in Spanish and French and is passionate about the ability of effective and efficient project management to help make the world a better place. John was the Vice Chair of PM4NGOs and was the Vice-Chair of Anti-Slavery International and Chair of the Dalit Solidarity Network.
Legal & Governance
NURUL, an enthusiastic and detailed strategist by function, governance professional, chartered secretary and legal personnel by profession, who specialised in the third sector and private sector. She is an Associate to the Governance Institute, locally known as the Malaysia Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. After completing her South Australian Matriculation in 2009, she reads Law at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia on a scholarship.
Following her career twist in 2016, she has made herself as a certified Project Management Development Professional accredited by APMG International, United Kingdom. She further challenged herself to take up the responsibilities to lead the strategic direction and governance of an international grant provider, to reach the benefits in education and empowerment of third sector locally, to its beneficiaries located in the Middle East, Africa, South East Asia and Central Asia. She advises a portfolio of purpose driven organisations for sustainable development.
She is the Country Champion for Malaysia since 2021 for the global initiative of the International Financial Reporting for Non-Profit Organisation (IFR4NPO); an initiative to develop the world’s first internationally applicable Financial Reporting guidance for non-profit organisations (NPOs), aiming to improve the clarity and consistency of NPOs financial reports, resulting in greater credibility and trust in the not-for-profit sector globally.
SULFAN, a Project DPro Certified Trainer, is a capacity development practitioner with more than 10 years of experience having previously worked in literacy education as one of the founders of the education information workers association in Indonesia. He experienced his career switch when he dived into working in the world of learning, coaching and human resources.
Geared with his extensive experience, he is always interested and passionate to advancing the world of the sector and education. As of now, he has already facilitated the development of more than 150 education and community development consultants, assisted micro-entrepreneurs at early-stage business through coaching and as trainers on various topics including project management and capacity building.
AIMAN, is an expert in humanitarian sector with more than 10 years professional experience in fundraising, project management, change management and leadership. Previously he was the youngest CEO of Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa, an agency under Ministry of Higher Education (2019 – 2021). He has been to more than 10 countries in delivering humanitarian missions and conferences including Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Jordan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.
A speaker and trainer in humanitarian and volunteerism, he has been actively involved in sharing his experiences and expertise throughout 500 locations, nationally and globally. Sharing awareness of humanitarian and volunteerism through various platform including talks, training series, conferences, social medias, & also mainstream medias. To date, Aiman had written three books under the theme of humanitarian, volunteerism and youth namely; Aku Khadam Ummah, Diari Khadam Ummah and Nota CEO.
CAROLINE, has worked with both Non-Profit and For-Profit organisations in Australia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia for over 15 years. Driven by social impact, Caroline has enjoyed working with International NGOs on large-scale fundraising programmes, to consulting for small grass-roots NGOs to build and develop their organisational capabilities focusing on fundraising and transparency in NGO’s reporting.
She has gained significant expertise and insight into the unique obstacles growing NGOs must overcome, in order to achieve their respective missions. Currently living in Malaysia,Caroline has spent the past five years alongside local NGOs working to advance the rights of refugees, particularly the Rohingya ethnic minority.
SAZLIE, is a tech savvy and efficiency focused fundraising changemaker who leverages on data analytics in stepping and retargeting NGOs fundraising effort. His working experience extends for more than 10 years in areas such as project management, non-profit fundraising and capacity building with skills in crucial softwares such as Ms Excel, Basic Python, and Google Analytics & Social Media Analytics.
Utilising his skills, he led MyCARE fundraising team for 5 years using improved method and strategy to achieve donations target by digging deeply into data analytics as needed by IR4.0 and using it to change traditional ways of doing fundraising to more data driven ways. He thus leverages more on social media strategy such as effective copywriting, attractive audio-visual, and analytics in decision making.
AKMAL, is ambitious and passionate in making businesses and project ventures successful. His 20 years of winning and learning process in corporate & entrepreneurial world equipped him with responsibility, balanced judgement, goal driven, maturity & intelligence. He started weaving his experience and expertise in business and project venture since the year 2000 as a Business Analyst in financial institution in credit, loan, and business evaluation.
He is also involved in Consulting, Advisory & Training in areas of Business Development, Marketing, Innovation & Coaching in private & government agencies, honing his mastery in business. Enthusiastic in sharing his mastery and building his knowledge, he obtained certification TTT HRDF, Triz Certification, and Management Consulting.
YUSAIMI is enthusiastic and passionate in environmental sustainability through his work as the president of GRASS Malaysia, formerly known as Grup Alam Sekitar Sejahtera, an organisation founded on environmental awareness and sustainability. Yusaimi is active in educating the public especially Malaysian through participation in various environmental-focused forums and dialogues, shedding light on different angles such as food consumption, bribery, and religion, among others.
Acknowledging the importance practicality of environmental sustainability, in 2020, GRASS Malaysia tapped into the experts within its NGO and proceeded to publish and train the public through its module: Laskar Alam: Modul Pembudayaan Kelestarian Alam. Its objective being the embodiment and application of the green doctrine in management, development, and leadership.

AMOR has a rich profile of experiences; he received knowledge from different academic institutions in various full specialties ranging from the study of Sharia, Law and Finance in many academic and scientific meetings in Mauritania, Syria and others. His knowledge is translated into a number of writings, lectures, seminars, and TV Programs in the domain of law and Islamic finance. This is in addition to a good expertise in digital learning and various professional certificates in different fields of Islamic finance and management with 5 years’ experience in investment banking in DIFC in DUBAI.
Utilising his experience of nearly 13 years since the establishment of Almaali Group for Financial Consulting in Dubai and Morocco, he managed to transform traditional banks into Islamic ones by setting up banks and Islamic windows, and developing products and training kits in different legal environments for: North Africa, East Africa, Europe, Gulf and Asian countries.
ELSHABRAWY acted as one of the advisors to the prestigious Prince Abdulaziz International Prize for Entrepreneurs in 2014. LUGMAN, has held diverse roles in technical research, product development and marketing in sustainable energy technology across multiple companies. Believing in continuous improvement and growth, he has implemented various technological and strategic changes across his career such as the implementation of Balanced Scorecard System and Data Services Connectivity. Previously, Lugman has held Educational Manager position at Apple Computers in Saudi Arabia.
A graduate in electrical engineering with advanced certification in photovoltaic semiconductors and optical wave guides, Lugman made a strategic transition towards a finance-consulting oriented career in the areas of project financing and investment management.
JOE is an entrepreneur and an American scholar of Islam, holding a Master of Islamic Law from the University of Medina, and has studied traditionally in the Muslim world for the past 20+ years. He was a VP and Senior Shariah Consultant for AlRajhi Bank, the largest Islamic Bank in the Middle East.
